As much as the Syrian people undoubtedly deserve to have their freedom, should the US get involved? The US can take the moral high ground, but history seems to show us that America only intervenes if it suits them somehow. Russia, perhaps is right to be so opposed - because this could be the start of another Iraq or Libya. When all is said and done, the US could be there making sure any new policy or agreement suits them. Then what's next? Iran? - the region's last independent oil producer and key ally to both China and Russia? I think the US should back right off before they start something they won't want to finish.
