10.11.2013 17:09

All I see here is a bunch of Russian and Chinese jealousy.
Your mistake is thinking that your country wouldn't do the same things that the USA does (matter of fact they do, albeit usually on a smaller scale).
Your countries will never be great like the United States because your political systems don't allow freedom.
Ever hear of a carrier battle group? If aircraft carriers are so easy to sink, why hasn't one been sunk since WW2?

For our rockets it is an ideal target, we like to do some shooting in Russia ducks for a dinner

If your missiles can lock on. Its a stealthy vessel, it will have advanced air defense systems, the power plant was designed to provide power for directed energy air defense systems. We will just "cook" your missiles out of the air. Plus finding a warship that doesn't want to be found is easier said than done.

Hey, that's great it will save $4 Billion over its lifespan! I have an even better idea, though. Lets not build the next nine of them and save $225 Billion over their non-existent livespans! Can't we just buy some off the shelf gaming software and keep those navy testosterone junkies happy that way? Lots more excitement than the reality of constantly fighting off the rust, and if you get splashed, you just go on KP for a few days and they give you your wings back!

Only three Ford class carriers are planned. The latest Nimitz class are only a few years old.

It sends a shiver down my backside, that someday they'll want a aircraft carrier to be named Obozo!

How' s U.S.S. Albert Sharpton sound? Can any nation get that low?

Wait what?!? The next two Fords have already been named. The second will be the USS John F. Kennedy, N's the third will be the USS Enterprise, the Big E.

The U.S. imperial fleet sinks like everything else that floats on the ocean..yawn,yawn.[/q uote]

I don't know, the US Navy has an impressive battle history that speaks for itself. The US also built the first submarines, and going back further the first armored ships, Ironclads. Worlds first carrier goes to the UK. The US the world premiere Naval power, by far.

People should chill out about all the minor faults of this amazing ship. She can land so many planes a minute and more can take off in a minute. It is so organized you should take notes about her, not talk smack.

Ah , an American sheep. Juding by your comments, you believe everything you are told. Granted, its a great ship but, its not the be all and end all.

USA has $60 trillion debt, and it leaks money like a burst water pipe.

.... Animal Farm.

Why is everyone picking on new weapons systems x-35 not working carrier reliability shortfalls all systems have problems at first this is why the navy does sea trials and the us air force has JSF's but wont have any in combat for 2 or 3 years. Shakedowns always happen and nothing made by man works 100 percent all the time period.

Correction, please excuse my math. IT's not just over 8 months, it's just over 8 years. Build it anyway.
