While I agree with most of your comment, I see hope in the future where most see despair. Yes, the US government has become a cancer on the planet and nation, but, like all cancers, it is terminal. Greed and corruption will destroy this cancer before too much longer. Nobody needs to do a thing to make it happen; it will bring itself down fairly soon.
So... Hooray for human greed and pettiness...therein lies our salvation.
