RT AUDIENCE IN SOUTH AFRICA MORE THAN 4 TIMES BIGGER THAN DEUTSCHE WELLE, FRANCE 24 AND TV5 MONDE COMBINED
MOSCOW, DECEMBER 16, 2010 - RT, the Russian English-language news TV channel, now has an audience more than 4 times bigger than the aggregate audience of three leading European news channels in South Africa.
RT's average daily audience in South Africa, the most developed economy on the African continent, is more than 4 times bigger than the overall daily audience of three leading European news channels - Deutsche Welle, France 24 and TV5 Monde - EMS Africa 2010, a survey conducted by Synovate in Africa, finds. EMS Africa 2010 was the first large-scale television audience survey in Africa. The survey was conducted among the wealthiest 15% of the continent's residents.
