Uralsvyazinform posts 1H 2010 Net profit of 3.76 billion Roubles

Urals region fixed line telecom provider, Uralsvyazinform, has posted a 1H 2010 Net Profit of 3.76 billion Roubles under IFRS.

The net result soared by 127.1% year-on-year from the 1H 2009 net profit of 1.6 billion Roubles, with EBITDA rising 23 % to 9.7 billion Roubles, on the back of sales revenues increase 6% year on year to 21.3 billion Roubles.

The company attributed the increase of its Net Profit result to a 24.4% year on year growth in cellular services revenues, coupled with a 12.3% increase in revenues from telegraph services, on the back of increased subscriber numbers and rising internet services revenues
