Veropharm posts 1H 2010 Net Profit of 729.4 million roubles.

Leading Russian pharmaceutical producer Veropharm, has posted a 1H 2010 Net Profit of 729.4 million roubles under IFRS.

The bottom line is up 21.8% on the 1H 2009 Net Profit of 570.3 million roubles, with EBITDA up by 20.9% year on year to 917.7 million roubles, on the back of consolidated sales revenues rising 16.2% year on year to 2.6 billion roubles.

The company attributed the results to an increase in sales of over the counter drugs and prescription drugs and noted that its debt levels were less than 20% of the company’s net assets.
