Rostov Arena is a recently opened association football stadium in Rostov-on-Don, which was built specially for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It was officially opened on April 15, 2015 with a league game between Khabarovsk and Rostov.
Rostov Arena is the home of Football Club Rostov, having a capacity of 45,000 spectators. However, after the World Cup, it is expected to reduce the capacity to 25,000.
Rostov Arena will host five matches at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, including four group-stage games between Brazil and Switzerland; Iceland and Croatia; Korean Republic and Mexico; and Uruguay and Saudi Arabia. It will also host a round-of-16 match.
