Tall thin models may be a thing of the past. Women under 1.30 meters tall are all the rage! A parade of short-statured ladies gracing the catwalk has captivated crowds at Paris Fashion Week, challenging archaic standards of beauty.
“My message to the people is that beauty comes in all different shapes and sizes,” one of the models told RT's Ruptly video agency. “It's also awareness [to people] that little people also need clothes. It's hard sometimes when we try to go to the stores and can't find clothes that fit us the right way, properly on our bodies.”
The models couldn't help smiling as they showed off the New York Creative Business House's tailor-made collection of sparkly cocktail and evening dresses. They were greeted with beaming smiles from fashionistas watching the show.
The extravaganza, dubbed "The Dwarf Fashion Show" was in its third edition after debuting at last year's Paris Fashion Week, and last winter in New York. Next year the show is set to hit the Tokyo catwalks.

"It's to change people's ideas of us, and because I like fashion I wanted to be on the catwalk," French model Emma told AFP.
"And it could give designers ideas of how to make clothes for us," she added.
