It's a bird! It's a plane! No – it's Jetman! The adrenaline junkie who makes headlines by soaring above the clouds with nothing but a jetpack has done it again, flying with his protégé alongside an Emirates A380 airliner.

At first, the video seems like an advertisement for Emirates, with the A380 majestically flying over the Dubai skyline – but 20 seconds in, something out of the ordinary happens (and it's enough to make anyone with a fear of heights turn away).

Swiss daredevil Yves Rossy – adoringly known by his fans as Jetman – and Vince Reffet unexpectedly drop down from above, and begin flying alongside the superjumbo.

It's an impressive feat, but one that was carefully choreographed. The plane traveled at just 1,219 meters (4,000 feet), while the airliner and two men flew in two holding patterns. A film crew in a helicopter recorded the stunt from 304 meters (1,000 feet) above, Engadget reported.

This isn't the first time that Rossy and Reffet have gained international attention for their incredible stunts. In May, the pair soared above Dubai at 200 kilometers (120 miles) per hour.

In 2013, Rossy made a solo journey over Japan's Mt. Fuji and flew alongside a B17 bomber in the US. In 2012, he soared above Rio de Janeiro.

Speaking to RT in May, Rossy said the duo's jetpacks have “four turbine engines, which allows us to fly pretty much where we want.”

This is likely just the beginning for Rossy and Reffet, who reportedly plan to perform more tandem aerial flights.
