Czech court upholds US extradition ruling against alleged Russian hacker

An appeals court in Prague has upheld a lower court ruling to extradite a Russian national to the US who is accused of hacking American companies. According to Czech law, the final decision on Evgeny Nikulin’s fate will now be made by the justice minister. Nikulin was arrested in Prague in October 2016 over US accusations of breaking into the networks of LinkedIn, Dropbox and other tech companies. Russia where he’s wanted for internet theft of $3,450 also filed a request to extradite Nikulin. Earlier, a municipal court in Prague decided that both the American and Russian extradition requests were valid. Nikulin denied his guilt and appealed his extradition to both countries, but later retracted his appeal against the claim by Moscow.
