Popular street in Perth placed on lockdown after suspicious package found at mall
A popular street in the Australian city of Perth was placed on lockdown while police investigated a suspicious package at a nearby mall, according to local media.
A photo posted on social media showed Murray Street cordoned off with police tape, while a video showed locals patiently waiting for the area to be opened.

A conflicting report says the package was found on Wellington Street, rather than inside the mall.

Murray Street Mall and nearby shops were completely evacuated. The area was later reopened, according to 9 News.
