Brazilian lawmakers were caught on video laying the smack down on each other at a city council session. After a row over mayoral elections, legislators opted to make their points with punches, kicks and a high-flying table-dive.

According to local media, lawmakers Yuri Pelaes and Caetano Bentes were arguing over a document calling to suspend the voting process to elect a new city mayor when things got physical. A video from inside the council chambers captures the moment when all hell broke loose, as the verbal spar turned into a full-on royal rumble in suits.

When Pelaes - apparently aggressively - presented documents calling for the postponement of the election process to his colleague from an opposing party, Bentes stands up and delivers a zesty shove.

The push is answered by Pelaes decking him in the face, at which point a chaotic swarm of punches, screams and grappling turns the council chambers into an all out bar-brawl.

At one point, in a move easily worthy of the WWE, one politician runs from the crowd, mounts a table, and does a full-body dive onto the tussling legislators. The carnage went on for several minutes before the belligerents were separated, leaving the council suspended for over an hour. Despite the high-impact footage, no one was injured in the skirmish.
