Car rams into Hamburg shopping center, 9 injured, driver reportedly lost control (PHOTO)
At least nine people have reportedly been injured after an out-of-control SUV slammed through the Alstertal shopping center in Hamburg, Germany.
A police spokesperson confirmed that an elderly driver lost control of his vehicle while trying to park outside the shopping mall and plowed through the handbag section of the Galeria Kaufhof. The car traveled through the store before breaking through a railing and hanging precariously perched next to an escalator.

Emergency services are on the scene to assess the damage and remove the vehicle. Police have begun an investigation into the incident but are treating it as an accident; terrorism is not suspected at this time.

According to police the driver and another member of the public were suffering from shock.
