A Frontier Airlines passenger plane caught fire during an emergency landing at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday evening local time.
The Airbus 321 with 197 people on board was flying from San Diego to Las Vegas, when the crew reported smoke in the cockpit, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in an incident report.
Despite the problems, the pilots managed to land the aircraft safely, after which fire crews extinguished the fire on one of the engines, the FAA said.
“No injuries were reported, and passengers have been bussed to the terminal,” Frontier Airlines wrote on X. The FAA is investigating the incident.
A video of the incident shows the plane with fire under its wing leaving a trail of smoke during landing.
