The cargo ship Progress has docked with the International Space Station. As well as the two and a half tonnes of essential cargo, the ship delivered presents from home to members of the space crew.

Two of the crew, Meltchenko and Witson, will not set foot on Earth for the next few months. However the third man on board will fly home this Saturday, when he will be replaced by one of the seven astronauts who are scheduled to take off from Cape Canaveral on Thursday evening.
