Dalai Lama may step down due to Tibet violence
The Dalai Lama says he'll step down if the violence by Tibetans in his homeland spirals out of control. The exiled spiritual leader made the statement at his base in northern India in response to a recent escalation of violence in the disputed territory.
Earlier Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao accused the Dalai Lama of orchestrating the riots and said that the protests are intended to sabotage the Beijing Olympics.
