“FIFA opted for the future” – pundit

On Thursday, FIFA was making the choice between the present and the future, and preferred the latter, says the sports commentator from the broadcaster NTV+, Sergey Akulinin.

“FIFA could have chosen a country which is already prepared to host a World Cup, England for instance. Instead, they chose a country to invest into. The choice was actually between the present and the future and they opted for the latter,” Akulinin believes. The journalist joined RT soon after the crucial FIFA decision was announced in Zurich.
