Kid dies falling from Ferris wheel

The small Siberian town of Berdsk is in shock after a six-year-old fell to his death from a Ferris wheel. The police are now looking into why bystanders did nothing to intervene to help the boy before he plunged the 15-metre drop. Ironically, the tragedy

It was easy for 6-year-old Sasha to hop across the fence to the park's main attraction – the Ferris wheel. A six-metre fence was no obstacle and there were no grown-ups near by to tell him not to.

The Ferris wheel control buttons were easy to find and operate, and he easily switched it on. He decided to change seats mid-ride, but he slipped and was left dangling on a metal bar until he lost his grip and fell 15 metres.

Young people below watched the tragedy unfold and used their cell phones to record the ordeal rather than help the boy. They yelled for him to hold on tight laughed and made jokes.

Later, the video where Sasha can be heard crying for his mother has appeared on the internet. The police are now eager to find who made it, as well as for those who were responsible for not securing access to the ride.

The parks owners are also under investigation, it appears there were no security guards on the premises and no one preventing access to the control panels.
