Following the powerful of cyclone two weeks ago, the official death toll in Myanmar has now reached almost 80,000, with another 60,000 people still missing.

Heavy rains are now hampering relief efforts, making it hard to deliver aid. More than a hundred doctors from neighbouring countries have arrived in the devastated region. The United Nations is warning that a lack of fresh water may lead to the outbreak of disease. Russian aid has included medicine and electricity generators.
