At least one soldier from Azerbaijan has been killed and several wounded in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
A local official said the soldiers set off a landmine as they were trying to cross into Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan claims the men were attacked.
This is the second violent incident at the border of the disputed region this week.
Nagorno-Karabakh lies within Azerbaijan, but declared independence after the fall of the USSR. Populated mostly by ethnic Armenians, it provoked a bloody war between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Russia currently acts as a mediator in the frozen conflict.
