Prime ministers Vladimir Putin and Silvio Berlusconi have agreed to live until 120 years, but they are not going to stay in office all that time: the job is far too tiring.
The two politicians met after the Yaroslavl Global Forum, and among other issues discussed Berlusconi’s support for the Italian institute seeking to promote the average life span to 120 years.
“Will we live until we are 120 years old?” Putin, 57, asked his Italian counterpart.
“Yes, we have to bear in mind that this is the average life expectancy. I was told that leaders live much longer,” Berlusconi, 74, answered.
However Berlusconi ruled out the possibility of staying in office until he is 120 years old.
“I’m not sure that’s possible. The job of prime minister wears you out. Believe me, I haven’t had a single day off this year,” he told Putin, who cheered him up by saying he had a couple of ideas for a joint holiday.
