Russian FM: Iranian missile test proves U.S. shield is unnecessary
According to Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov the latest Iranian missile tests show that the planned U.S. missile shield is not needed in Eastern Europe.
He says the military exercises prove that Tehran possess missiles with only a limited range.
This means they would not even be able to reach the proposed U.S. shield bases in Poland and the Czech Republic.
Russia has always opposed Washington's plans for placing the shield in Eastern Europe.
