Russian pilots released in Sudan's Darfur
Three Russian pilots kidnapped in Sudan’s troublesome Darfur region earlier this week have been freed after two days in captivity.
The news first came from South Darfur’s governor, Sudanese media reported Tuesday.
The Russian embassy on the ground confirmed the information.
The Russian citizens were air crew members of local Badr Airlines and were abducted by a group of armed men in the region’s largest town of Nyala.
