“Our position on Iran is coherent and logical”

Political analyst Dmitry Polikanov assumes that Russia will stick to its stance on Iran and promote a peaceful solution to the issue.

“The thing is that the sanctions are not a remedy, an efficient remedy,” Polikanov told RT. “At the same time Russia is, of course, the last country that would will Iran to have nuclear weapons. So, our position I think is quite coherent and logical, so we are trying to negotiate with Iran and to convince the country that only a peaceful nuclear program is acceptable.”
