Hurricane relief efforts limit military deployment to Afghanistan
The over 6,000 active-duty military personnel deployed in relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, is causing delays in sending additional forces to Afghanistan, according to the Pentagon. The US military was scheduled to send about 3,500 additional troops to Afghanistan.The delay means forces schedule to come home may not be able to leave until their replacements arrive.
