A Turkish Justice Ministry delegation has cancelled a visit the United States due to the ongoing tensions in relations between the two countries, a statement from the ministry said Tuesday. “Due to the recent visa crisis between the two countries, the visit was cancelled by our ministry,” Reuters reported. The delegation members were not subject to the visa rejections, the ministry emphasized. CNN Turk, however, initially reported that the delegation was denied entry visas. Washington suspended all nonimmigrant visas for Turkey earlier this month, after Turkish authorities arrested a local employee of the US embassy. Ankara has responded with retaliatory measures.
