Russian archaeologists are exploring an ancient settlement at a construction site of a railway link for the Kerch Strait Bridge, the Crimean Bridge information center says. Around the city of Kerch, a territory is being explored where 17 barrows and an ancient settlement were discovered. The cultural layer of the settlement is up to two-meters deep, where fragments of buildings and structures were found. These include foundations, parts of the walls of houses, and economic buildings from ancient times to the end of the 19th century, according to the report. Excavations are being carried out ahead of the construction of a section of the railway link to the new bridge.
