The EU’s diplomatic chief Federica Mogherini on Monday condemned “all attacks on Jews everywhere in the world” as she met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Brussels. Netanyahu is making the first visit to the EU by an Israeli premier in over two decades. EU foreign ministers are set to urge Netanyahu to restart a “meaningful” dialogue aimed at reaching peace with the Palestinians, AFP reported. “Let me condemn in the strongest possible way all attacks on Jews everywhere in the world, including in Europe, and on Israel and on Israeli citizens,” Mogherini said. The remarks come after Netanyahu criticized Europe’s “hypocrisy” for condemning US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, but not the firing of rockets from Gaza into Israel.
