ISIS claims responsibility for St. Petersburg attack
Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) claimed responsibility for Wednesday’s attack in St. Petersburg, Russia, claiming that it was carried out by an IS-linked group, AFP reported on Friday, citing the terrorist group’s propaganda mouthpiece Amaq. The explosion hit a supermarket, leaving more than dozen people injured, and was called a terrorist attack by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
