Iraq govt raises death toll in Baghdad attack to 38
The death toll from a twin suicide bombing in a Baghdad market has increased to 38, according to Iraqi officials, AP reports. Two police officers and four health officials say that Monday’s early-morning attack also wounded 105 other people. Earlier reports said that 26 people had been killed. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack but it bore the hallmarks of the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) group.
