Iraq MPs lift sanctions on Kurdistan region banks
The Iraqi parliament voted on Monday to lift sanctions imposed on banks in the Kurdistan region, Reuters reported, citing Iraqi TV channels. Lawmakers in Baghdad adopted a decision to remove the sanctions after they had “fulfilled their purpose.” The measure is aimed at enforcing federal controls on the Kurdish banking industry.
