Former ISIS fighter killed in Russia’s Ingushetia
A man who once fought for the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) in Syria was killed in a forest countryside area the southern Russian republic of Ingushetia, the National Antiterrorism Committee reported. He and another militant were encircled by law enforcement and chose to fight back with assault rifles rather than being arrested. After both were killed, the FSB found grenades and IEDs on their bodies along with firearms.
