Russia expels employee of Georgian Interests Section at Switzerland’s embassy
Russia is expelling an employee of the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in Moscow, in response to Georgia’s decision to expel an employee of the Russian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tbilisi over the Skripal case. The decision was made in response to Georgia’s unfounded move, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday. The Georgian diplomat has to leave Russian territory within seven days, TASS reports. The note about the expulsion was handed on to the Swiss charge d’affaires ad interim in Russia, Patrick Franzen. The move will not affect Switzerland’s mandate, which represents the interests of Russia and Georgia in their capitals on a mutual basis.
