Red Cross worker killed in ‘deliberate attack’ in Yemen
A Red Cross employee was shot in an attack in the city of Taiz on Saturday morning, the International Committee of the Red Cross said in a statement. A Lebanese national, Hanna Lahoud, died from his injuries after unknown armed men opened fire on his ICRC vehicle. ICRC Middle East Director Robert Mardini condemned the “brutal and apparently deliberate attack” on the aid worker, who was in charge of the organization’s detention program in Yemen.
