Iranian authorities have sentenced eight people to death over attacks in June 2017, which were claimed by Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS), head of the Tehran Revolutionary Courts Mousa Ghazanfarabadi told state TV, Reuters reported. The men were found guilty of aiding five extremists, who launched an attack on the Iranian parliament building and a shrine to the late founder of Iran, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, in the Iranian capital. The attacks killed 18 people and injured over 50. All of the assailants were killed by security forces.
