Cuban plane crash survivor dies in hospital, death toll reaches 111
One of the three survivors of Friday's plane crash in Havana has died in the hospital, Cuban state media report. Gretell Landrove, 23, suffered massive injuries when a Boeing 737 operated by Cuban national airline Cubana crashed shortly after takeoff on its way from Havana to Holguin. The two remaining survivors, 19-year-old Mailen Diaz and 39-year-old Emiley Sanchez, both remain hospitalized in Havana in critical condition, with over 20 doctors of various specializations looking after them. On Monday, the operations of Damojh, a Mexican company that leased the Boeing to Cubana, were suspended by the Mexican civil aviation authority.
