Lightning strike grounds multiple flights at London airport
Dozens of flights were delayed or cancelled at London Stansted Airport after lightning hit plane-fueling systems on Sunday, leaving many passengers stranded. The incident happened as a powerful thunderstorm swept across Britain. The systems were restored later that day, an airport spokesperson said, but added that flights may still be subject to diversion, delay or cancellation.
