Plans for a roadmap in Syria’s Manbij may be implemented before the end of the summer if Ankara and Washington reach an agreement, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Wednesday. Cavusoglu told broadcaster AHaber, that US and Turkish forces would control the Manbij region until a new administration was formed under the understanding reached with Washington. Manbij has long been seen as a potential flashpoint because the Syrian government and its allies, Kurdish-led militia, rebel groups, Turkey, and the United States all have a military presence in northern Syria.
