Syrian president may visit North Korea, meet Kim
Syrian President Bashar Assad wants to visit North Korea and meet its leader Kim Jong-un, according to Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the country’s ruling party. "I am going to visit the DPRK and meet HE Kim Jong Un," Assad said. He reportedly announced the possible meeting as he was receiving diplomatic credentials from the North Korean envoy to Syria at a ceremony on May 30.
