Pompeo to visit North Korea, White House says ‘progress continuing’
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit North Korea on July 5-7, to continue the denuclearization talks begun at the June 12 summit in Singapore. He will follow that up with meetings with Japanese and South Korean officials in Tokyo, the State Department confirmed. “We’re continuing to make progress,” the White House said on Monday, brushing aside media reports that North Koreans were working to sabotage the process.
