Death toll from suicide attack in Pakistan rises to 149
The death toll from a suicide bombing at an election rally near the Pakistani town of Mastung on Friday has risen to 149, officials said. Senior police official Qaim Lashari also told Reuters that more than 180 people were injured. Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack. IS militants, as well as Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters have been active in the region, which borders Afghanistan and Iran.
