Magnitude 6.0 quake reported off Alaska
A series of tremors have been detected by the US Geological Survey off the southern point of Alaska, with the strongest one measuring 6.0 in magnitude. The area of the quake is located south of the Islands of Popov and Unga in the Aleut archipelago, about 100km from the city of Sand Point. The USGS has measured the depth of the quake at over 17km.
