Seoul and Pyongyang plan to hold general-level military talks in the border truce village of Panmunjom on July 31, Yonhap news agency reported on Friday. South Korea’s delegation will be led by Major Gen. Kim Do-gyun, while North Korea will be represented by Lieut. Gen. An Ik-san. On June 14, generals from South and North Korea held their first military talks in around a decade. During the meeting, Seoul and Pyongyang agreed to fully restore their military communication lines, TASS reported. The communication lines on the western part of the border were set up in 2002, and on the eastern part in 2003.
