NASA postpones launch of 1st solar probe until Sunday
The launch of NASA’s Parker Solar Probe to the outer corona of the sun has been postponed until Sunday. The historic mission to “touch the sun” was called off Saturday morning after earlier delays to the launch. NASA reported that teams were investigating a condition. The mission has previously been postponed three times. If Parker misses its launch period in August, the next opportunity to send the mission toward the sun will not present itself until May 2019.
