9 miners trapped by smoke inside mine in Russia’s Urals
At least nine miners have been trapped by smoke inside a mine owned by Russian potash producer Uralkali in the city of Solikamsk, some 1,200km northeast of Moscow. A rescue operation is currently underway, the company said in a statement. On its website, Uralkali says that it is one of the world’s leading potash producers.
