President Vladimir Putin expressed hope on Wednesday that the visit by Kazakhstan’s new president to Russia will give a fresh impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation. He also highlighted the contribution made by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as a member of former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s team, in cultivating ties between Russia and Kazakhstan, TASS reported. Tokayev’s press service said earlier the agenda of the talks with the Russian president in Moscow included bilateral cooperation in politics, trade, economy, culture and the humanitarian spheres, as well as crucial regional and international issues.
