Sudanese police say 11 people killed in incidents, including 6 members of state forces
Sudan’s information minister said on Wednesday that eleven people were killed during security incidents in the capital, Khartoum the previous day. They included six members of “state forces,” the minister, Hassan Ismail, said, citing a report by the Khartoum state police chief. Ismail, who is also the government spokesman, gave no details on how they died. Khartoum saw two attempts by security services personnel to disperse thousands of protesters camping outside the Defense Ministry, prompting army soldiers guarding the compound to intervene to protect them, Reuters reported.
