‘Welcome to hell’: Hamburg burns, G20 protests spiral (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)
At least 100 people have been arrested after protesters clashed with police on day two of the G20 summit in Hamburg.
Friday’s anti-establishment protest caused chaos in the northern German city as crowds set fire to cars and ransacked shops before attacking police with molotov cocktails.

Parts of Hamburg were under a blanket of black smoke Friday while special forces used water canons in an effort to control the rioting. Some 200 officers were injured in the clashes.
Thousands more protesters have turned out for Saturday’s demonstration which has remained mostly peaceful so far, although a heavy police presence is visible.

18:56 GMTAbout 50,000 people took part in the anti-G20 protests Saturday, according to a statement from German police.
While most demonstrations were peaceful, officers did use their batons and deploy a water hose to control a crowd who were throwing bottles at police during the March in Millerntorplatz, read the statement.
Four officers were injured in the incident, but were able to continue in the line of duty.

Speaking Saturday about his bilateral meeting with the US President, Putin said the “Trump we see on TV is very much different from the real person”, and added he felt relations between the two countries could at least be partially restored. Trump described the meeting as “tremendous”.
