Candace Owens vs. Harry Styles: Proof that masculinity IS under attack — and black voices only matter if they’re left-wing

When ‘masculinity’ is turned into an insult, and it takes a black woman to call it out, and then get dismissed for not toeing the liberal line… you know Western civilization must have taken a wrong turn somewhere.

Last year I had the pleasure of attending Candace Owens’ wedding in Charlottesville, Virginia.

In a ceremony that would’ve melted the mind of any ‘tolerant’ liberal, it saw a working-class black woman marry a Tory peer’s son in her very own Cinderella moment.

And, party politics aside, it was a stunning occasion.

Played out in the plush surrounds of the local Trump Winery, which is beautiful irrespective of your hopes for the US election result, the 31-year-old captivated guests in a stunning lace and ivory silk gown by Monique Lhuillier.

One of America’s most sought-after bridal wear designers, she claims to capture the essence of sophisticated luxury with “allure”, “glamour,” and – crucially – “femininity”.

Fans include Emma Stone, Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow, Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Alba, plus Michelle Obama and First Lady Melania Trump.

But that impressive client list could soon include Harry Styles, who randomly graces the December issue of Vogue in a Gucci dress.

I’ll go in shops sometimes, and I just find myself looking at the women’s clothes thinking they’re amazing,” he’s quoted, rather unconvincingly, as the first-ever male cover star in the title’s 127-year history.

Don’t get me wrong, Harry Styles can wear whatever he wants. I genuinely don’t care. But I do care about objective truth, which is why I’m writing this.

See, the fact he’s dressed in women’s clothing is no accident. It’s not even journalism. It’s activism.

In case you didn’t get the memo, there’s currently a war on straight, white masculinity. I know this for a fact because it takes a black woman to call it out.

Taking to Twitter, Owens shared the now-infamous article, stating: “There is no society that can survive without strong men. The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that [cultural] Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack.”

Like clockwork, left-wing publications and Hollywood celebrities (the sort who usually demand we listen to black women’s voices) suggested Owens is a far-right zealot to be dismissed.

I think you’ve missed the definition of what a man is. masculinity alone does not make a man,” actor Elijah Wood mansplained. Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde replied: “You're pathetic.”

Yet, in reality, Owens has a valid point.

When viewed in isolation, this ‘woke’ magazine shoot is meaningless. A flippant, cynical way to get free PR while ‘wokefishing’ for new subscribers. But, when it’s seen in the broader context, it’s far more sinister.

See, the world is being gaslit by gender activists who want to redefine masculinity on their own terms. Not in a way that’s helpful or beneficial to men, but to left-wing feminists and their supporters.

Their aim has always been to overthrow the so-called ‘patriarchy’ and this merely appears to be their latest tactic. A plan to destabilize men so that women can swoop in and inherit the Earth.

However, even if that is their aim, history proves it’s unlikely to be the outcome they’ll get. Why? Because the move towards cultural androgyny typically occurs when a civilisation is unravelling.

Whether it’s the Hellenisitic era (the time between the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BC and the emergence of the Roman Empire), the mauve era of Oscar Wilde in the 1890s or the onset of Weimar Germany in 1918, this has repeatedly happened like a bad Hollywood plot twist.

Also on rt.com I like fashion, but the pretentious Met Gala grotesquery made me physically repulsed

And, every single time, it’s never ‘cosmopolitan’, gender-bending types who reclaim the space left by alpha, masculine men, but OTHER hyper-masculine civilisations, who are far more brutal.

In our case that’s most likely to be China, which has more than two million men primed and ready for global domination in its military. Or, worse still, a radical organisation like ISIS, who give zero f***s if you think their behaviour is toxic.

This is rather terrifying when you consider that the UK’s terror threat has recently been upgraded to severe because of the recent attacks in France and Austria, where one man was beheaded in the street and an elderly woman was slaughtered in a church.

These people want Western men in dresses so they can wear the trousers. Don’t fall for it.
