From the early days of culture, humans have known that too much of anything is good for nothing. Every major religion warns against gluttony and other excesses, which poison the soul and enfeeble the body. Fortunately for our ancestors, scarcity usually took care of that, but what are we supposed to do in this era of ever-growing abundance?
